The Tidewater Oyster Gardeners Association will hold its fall float workshop and oyster float sales event in Mathews on Saturday, Oct. 2.

The event will be at Williams Wharf Landing from 9 a.m. to noon that day.

According to a release from TOGA, this is a great opportunity for oyster growers to get floats, bags, other accessories and spat (seed depending upon availability). Master Oyster Gardeners will also be on hand to discuss how to get started growing oysters, as well as information on the latest techniques and regulations.

This event is one of TOGA’s primary fundraising activities with all proceeds benefiting the 501(c)(3) nonprofit.Due to limited supplies, pre-orders are required.
