One win away

The Gloucester High School field hockey team is only one win away from claiming a state championship trophy, following Saturday’s 3-1 victory in the Virginia High School League’s Class 4 state semifinal match over the visiting Chancellor Chargers. After a scoreless first half, Lady Duke Hannah Symonds got Gloucester on the scoreboard. Above, Symonds jumps for joy after scoring that goal. Teammate Ellary Miller, at left, is all smiles as well. Gloucester travels to Northern Virginia on Saturday to face the Loudoun Valley Vikings in the state championship game....
