Because Brickbat Road is closed today through Sunday for Mathews Market Days, Mathews County offices located on the Mathews Court Green will close at noon today and will remain closed until Monday, Sept. 8.
Located in the administration building are the county administrator and finance, planning and zoning, the building official, facilities and grounds, and emergency management, which will respond from home, as needed.
Mathews Animal Control’s office will be closed, as well, but officers will take calls from their homes....
