The Mathews County Wetlands Zoning Board was scheduled to hold public hearings on nine requests for proposed projects at its meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday night. The meeting can be viewed at mathewscountyva.gov/government/meeting-portal.

Joseph Perdue applied for permission to construct a nine-foot marsh sill, 54 feet of marsh toe protection, and 75 feet of riprap. The project is along the Horn Harbor shoreline.

Joseph and Anna Marie Yurvati have requested to build a 12 by 80-foot stone wall with sand backfill, along with 27 feet of riprap. The project is located on the East River.

Chesapeake Station Homeowners Association, or CSHOA sought permission to construct two 85-foot vinyl groins and three 100-foot vinyl groins and sand backfill. This project is on Chesapeake Bay shoreline.

Robert Firestone asked to construct 60 by 5 feet of riprap revetment. The project will take place along the Chesapeake Bay shoreline.
