Tom’s Collectibles & Gaming held a soft opening Saturday at The Shops at York River, located beside York River Crossing Cinemas. Brothers Tom and Scott Wiegand have opened the business. The store will feature merchandise from Pokémon, One Piece, Disney, Marvel, Peanuts and more. There will also be sports cards available. “We have pretty much everything,” said Scott. The brothers can also make custom cards, placards, signs, keychains, binders, mugs, tumblers and more. “Anything you can think of,” said Tom. “We’ll have game tables set up,” said Scott. People can come play Dungeons & Dragons, Pokémon and other games with plans for tournaments in the works. Patrons can also rent out the store for parties. Tom moved to Gloucester in August, while Scott has lived here for much longer. “I’ve lived in Virginia since the ’80s,” said Scott. “This is the best place we could be.” A veteran-owned business, the store will offer 10 percent discounts to veterans, first responders and teachers....
