New exhibit opens Friday at TAG

A new exhibit will open Friday at the Tappahannock Art Gallery with a reception from 5-7 p.m.
Twice a year the gallery hosts a special show of member artists’ work based on a theme. This exhibit is titled “Aqua e Aria,” focusing on themes of water and air.
TAG schedules its opening receptions to coordinate with Friday Date Night in Tappahannock, which is the last Friday of every month except December.
TAG, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, said it welcomes both new artists and volunteers who would like to be part of the Tappahannock art scene in other ways.
“We are always glad to add to our team of docents and hosts for openings,” the release stated.
The gallery is located at 200 Prince Street.

“Splash!” by Bess Haile and the photograph “Docked” by Sally Honenberger are two of the works in the Tappahannock Art Gallery’s “Aqua e Aria” exhibit.
