Mouth of the South expands menu items

Mouth of the South Gourmet Treats is headed toward some big, exciting changes, and it began with a name change in July.
Owner Stacey Powell of Gloucester changed the name of her business, which she started back in 2015, to Mouth of the South Treats and More. “Now we’re ‘and more’ because we are introducing more than just sweets; we’re doing more of the savory side,” said Powell.
Among the new savory options are tomato pies, soups like fresh butternut squash and enchilada soup, chili with cornbread options, and an autumn chicken salad. Starting in October, she will also be introducing a service called Frost and Flourish.
“Let’s say your kid wants to make their own cake this year,” explained Powell. “I bring the cake, you tell me what they want: they pick out the colors, they pick out everything. I bring the apron, all the tools, the spinner, everything, and then they decorate the cake themselves.”
