Moose Players to present ‘Anastasia, the Musical’

“Anastasia, the Musical” will be presented by the Moose Family Players at 3 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, at the Gloucester Moose Lodge, 6565 Moose Drive, Gloucester. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children and students and are available in advance at Golden Creations, 1761 George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester Point, and Gloucester Office Supply, 6754 Main Street, Gloucester. They will also be sold at the door. Based on the 1997 animated film of the same name, “Anastasia, the Musical” adapts the legend of the Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia, rumored to have escaped and survived the execution of the Russian Imperial family. Many years later, an amnesiac young woman named Anya hopes to find some trace of her past by siding with two con men who wish to take advantage of her resemblance to Anastasia.
