Mobjack Dog Supply opened for business in mid-September in the building that formerly housed the Bohannon Post Office.
Owner Mark Ottarson said he began the business in March 2014 at his North residence. But he wanted to open a retail store and thought the former post office building on East River Road, which closed about three years ago, might be a suitable location to sell dog feed and supplies.
The small shop, which Ottarson currently operates part-time, stocks an assortment of dog food, colorful collars, racing number vests and dog accessories. In addition, he sells several types of GPS systems which can help track dogs while out hunting. Another type of system can be used to track dogs or people, he said. Other products offered for sale include flea treatments, skinning knives, dual band radios and Confederate flags.
