On Thursday, July 7, 2022, Mildred Naomi Hogge departed this life from her home at Gloucester Point to her heavenly home. Naomi, as she was known to most, was born on Feb. 25, 1938 to the late James Kenneth and Mildred Annie (Newby) Tillotson who lovingly raised four daughters on their tobacco farm near Clarksville, Virginia. She married her “Darling” Edward Hogge in June 1956. Settling at Gloucester Point, in a new home they built in 1958, they lovingly and tirelessly raised three children. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; three sisters, Kate, Ruth, and Isabelle; granddaughter, Amber Faith Hogge, and her longtime special friend and companion, Thomas C. Castellow. She is survived by her children, Donna, Kenny, and Lester; sister, Stella Pennell (Gene); 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren who loved her dearly and will miss her immensely. In keeping with Naomi’s final wishes, an informal (come dressed as you are) graveside service, conducted by Pastor Bud Goude, was held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friends were requested to assemble at the cemetery.

Services under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home.
