MICHAEL FLOYD COX

Michael Floyd Cox, 20, of Port Haywood, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016.

A native of Hampton, he had lived the last several years in the Gloucester-Mathews area. Having a real passion for cars, he worked at Haskins Auto Body and was a member of the Honda Crew.

Preceded in death by his grandmothers, Bonnie Evans and Sandra Kerr; survivors include his mother and step-father, Barbara Jean and Doyle Whited; his father, Mark Floyd Cox; his brother, Matthew Cox; his step-brothers, Steven Whited, Benjamin Whited, and Jeremiah Whited; his grandfather and step-grandmother, Fred and Julie Evans; his grandfather, Morris Cox; his aunts and uncles, Julie Kierulf and her husband Tom, John Evans, David Evans, and Bubba Cox and his wife Anne, and numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Sharon Baptist Church with a funeral service beginning at 1:30 conducted by Pastor David Seabolt. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
