Mathews High School’s students of the month for April are eighth grader Christian Wells, freshman Mya Schroeder, sophomore Jacob Heimerich, junior Nora Suthard and senior Seth James. Students are chosen from nominations by a committee of faculty members who evaluate academic standing, attendance, completing work on time, and character. At the end of the school year, a student of the year is named at each grade level, chosen from the monthly winners.
