Mathews High School indoor track athletes competed Friday in the Lampert Timing Indoor Track Meet #7 at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton. The MHS boys placed fourth as a team with 43 points, while the girls came in fifth with 44 team points. For the MHS girls, Nora Suthard won the triple jump with a jump of 33’1.5”, second in the high jump (4’4”) and third in the long jump (14’11”). Jordan Sadeg was fourth in the triple jump at 29’9.5” and third in the 55m hurdles in 11.19. Allean “Beanie” Rowe was eighth in the high jump 4’2” in her first track meet. Kate Small won the JV long jump (13’2.5”), high jump (4’6”), triple jump (30’1.5”) and 5th in the 300-meter dash (51.82 seconds). Meredith Salvadori was seventh in the 500-meter dash in 1:36.60. The girls’ 4x200 relay was third in 2:05.39.
