The boys and girls Mathews High School cross country team took on their home course on Wednesday, Oct, 1 against the teams from Middlesex, Lancaster and Essex.
The boys placed first with a total of 20 points and the girls placed first beating Middlesex by one point with a total of 28 points. First overall for the Blue Devils was Blake Hunley with a time of 17:19; not too far after was Chance Higginbotham with a time of 17:24. Next for the Devils was Jon Jenkins with a time of 18:01, Dominic Winters (19:00), Adam Greve (19:03), Ivar Golden (19:11), Justin Pressnell (19:11.1), James Allen Morgan (20:39) and Marvin Ouma (JV) (22:33).
Coming in first for the Lady Devils was Elizabeth Moore with a time of 23:56, and not far after was Paige Morris with a time of 23:58.
