McNulty first recipient of Halo House Veterinary Scholarship

Amidst nationwide veterinarian shortages, Gloucester native and longtime PETA fieldworker Thomas McNulty has stepped up to fill the gap and pursue a degree in veterinary medicine.
In recognition, PETA and Halo House for Dogs have selected McNulty as the first recipient of The Halo House Veterinary Scholarship, covering at least half of his year’s tuition.
McNulty is attending the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, located in St. Kitts & Nevis in the eastern Caribbean, and will bring his skills back to PETA’s mobile clinics after graduation. For over a decade, McNulty has worked with PETA’s field team and mobile spay and neuter clinics. In 2020, his efforts as a PETA fieldworker were featured in the documentary “Breaking the Chain.”
