The Mathews County Board of Supervisors has issued subpoenas for the production of records to three government agencies in regard to the suit filed by Hole in the Wall Waterfront Grill LLC last August against the board and former supervisors David S. Jones, and Michael S. Walls. Subpoenas were issued to the records custodians at the Virginia State Corporation Commission and the Virginia Department of Taxation, as well as to Mathews Commissioner of the Revenue Les Hall. The agencies were all asked for copies of “any and all records, documents, writings and correspondences in any way relating to Hole in the Wall Waterfront Grill LLC from July 1, 2016 to present.” For the SCC, these included, but were not limited to, business licenses, business plans, ownership records, operating agreements, articles of organization, and annual reports.
