Everything from the academic achievement of the student body to the condition of the county’s three school buildings: there are plenty of issues that are top of mind for Mathews County residents.
Tonight, they’ll get a chance to air their comments, concerns and compliments at the Mathews County School Board Town Hall. The meeting will be held from 6-8 o’clock on Thursday, Oct. 24, in the J. Murray Brooks Auditorium at Thomas Hunter Middle School.
School board chair Dr. Mari Gibbs will facilitate tonight’s meeting. Each citizen wishing to speak shall provide their name and address on the signup sheet provided at the entrance to the auditorium.
Those who wish to speak will have the opportunity to approach the podium, one time and singly, to ask a question. A citizen’s question should be kept to a maximum of two minutes. Questions should not pertain to personnel or individual student matters.
