Mathews County Little League will offer an extended fall season for 2020, according to an announcement made Tuesday by MLL president Ricky Wiatt.
MLL will offer teams for boys and girls ages 3 to 16. T-Ball will be broken into two age brackets—minors (ages 3 and 4) and majors (ages 5 and 6); these teams will only play locally. Mathews Little League is available to families within Mathews, Gloucester and Middlesex counties (only for levels that the other counties are not offering this fall).Mathews will adhere to the guidelines set forth by state and local government and health officials in terms of public gatherings, organized youth sports and sporting events, Wiatt said.
“The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has impacted individuals, families and communities in many ways,” Wiatt said.
