The Mathews Economic Development Authority unveiled its new website at a joint meeting with the Mathews County Board of Supervisors held on March 23. The site, developed by member Myriah Pirhala, has a home page that says, simply, “Surrounded by Water. Grounded in Purpose.” It contains in-depth information and resources for businesses that might look at locating in Mathews, including such items as current businesses, how to start a business, properties available for purchase, incentives and programs available, selling points on the county’s rich traditions and cultural life, and more. It states that Mathews is “Not a place you pass through. A place you choose—for its working waterfronts, its makers, its unbroken heritage, and a way of life worth protecting.” To access the site, visit mathewseda.com.
