Mathews BOS to meet tonight

The Mathews County Board of Supervisors will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 o’clock this evening, Thursday, March 19, in the historic courthouse on Court Street. Among the items on the agenda are two public hearings. One public hearing will be on proposed Ordinance 26-01, which would expand the number of members on the Mathews Memorial Library Board of Trustees from five to seven and update the ordinance regarding creation and operation of the library. The second public hearing is on a conditional use permit requested by ProSafe Acquisition LLC and OT Ventures to build and operate a 79,900-square-foot self-storage facility on 24 acres zoned Business-2 on Twiggs Ferry Road, adjacent to the Dollar General Market.
