MARJORIE C. LAWSON

Marjorie C. Lawson, 69, a lifelong resident of Gloucester, Va. and the widow of Lawrence A. Lawson, died at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital on Monday, April 18, 2011.

She was the daughter of the late Robert Stanley and Fannie Deal Clements, who died when she was a young child. She was raised by her grandparents, the late Boyd and Florence S. Clements with the help of our special aunt, Elizabeth C. Ewell. She was also preceded in death by her much-loved son, Lawrence Michael Lawson.
Marjorie is survived by two loving daughters, Christina L. Davis of Middlesex, Va., and Deanna E. Lawson, her devoted caregiver of the home. She further leaves seven grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, and an extended family to remember only the good times.

Marjorie was a homemaker who believed in the simple things in life…a clean house, a fruitful garden, the importance of family and friends, and Jehovah, her God.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Olive Branch United Methodist Church Cemetery, 12403 Harcum Road, Gloucester.

Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, was in charge of arrangements.
