Marion Earl West, 75, of Bena, a native and resident of Gloucester, passed away Sept. 29, 2015.
He was a lifelong member of Union Baptist Church, and was retired from Naval Weapons Station after 32 years.
Marion Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Bettie Rowe West, and brothers, Merton and William West.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Fleta Oliver West; son, Charles West (Stacey); daughter, Judy Ward (Stan); sister, Fannie Johnson; brothers, Amos and Ernest West; and his six grandchildren whom he dearly loved, and three precious great-grandchildren.
A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Richard Whiteheart and the Rev. Bill West will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Gloucester Point Cemetery.
