A memorial service for Madelyn Theresa “Resa” Ward White of Richmond, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Piankatank Ruritan Club, Hudgins. She died Nov. 4, 2018.

She was born on Dec. 5, 1956 in Mathews County, and graduated from Mathews High School.

Mrs. White was employed at CHS Industrial Supply in Richmond.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Pauline Ward; sisters, Sylvia Billups and Beverly Ward, and brother, Samuel A. Ward.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph White; daughter, Ashley White; sisters, Janet Ward, Edith Turner, Paula Champion, and Ethel Ward Wake, and brothers, Paul Ward, Michael Ward and Dwayne Ward.
