The Made in Mathews free, self-guided Open Studio Tour begins Friday and will be held for five days over the next two weekends at 13 artists’ studios in various parts of Mathews County.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 28 and 29; noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6; and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7.
The studios include the following:
Artisans at Sloop Creek, 53 Sloop Creek Road, Port Haywood, offering handcrafted items for the home and family, including quilts, wallets, luggage tags, home décor, pet and kitchen items.
Bay School Community Arts Center at 279 Main Street, with the work of over 60 Virginia artists, currently featuring the Holiday Market and Open House;
Bentwaters Farm at 1083 Circle Drive in Susan, introducing new fashions and colors in felted hats and shawls, as well as new wool and rag rugs;
