The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society will host its Mad Hatter’s Gala & Auction from 5:30-11 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Abingdon Ruritan Club in Bena.

The premier annual fundraiser for the GMHS, this year’s event takes its inspiration from “Alice in Wonderland,” including food and drink “fit for a Queen of Hearts,” music from Good Shot Judy, and “curiouser and curiouser” auction items that will come up for bid, a release stated.

Tickets are available for purchase from the GMHS front desk and online at www.gmhumanesociety.org/events.html. Individual tickets are offered for $125 and must be purchased by Jan. 20 for guaranteed seating. Reserved tables for eight are also available for $750, and event sponsorships begin at $1,000. Chesapeake Bank is this year’s corporate sponsor.
