Lynne’s marks 20 years in business

Lynne’s Family Restaurant, located on Buckley Hall Road in Mathews, recently celebrated its 20th year in business.

Wade Powell said Lynne’s has always featured “home-style cooking,” which has proved popular with locals and visitors alike.

General manager Charlotte Kelly of Cardinal, said Lynne’s is a place where the staff know many of the customers by name, and can predict what the regulars will order.

Lynne’s serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with daily specials such as blueberry French toast or meatloaf. Prime rib has been a big seller, Kelly said, as have club sandwiches and an assortment of burgers including mushroom and Swiss and the Texas burger, topped with barbecue sauce, an onion ring and other goodies.
