Lynda Smith to headline at Li’l Ole Opry

Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will showcase one of its most well-known stars—Lynda Smith—in a concert Saturday night at the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8.

A Mathews County native, Smith has literally grown up on stage with most of her life “set to music,” a release stated. She has performed in hundreds of concerts and produced five recordings with another on the way. She is a songwriter and vice president of Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry.

The concert will feature house band, Shades of Country, and all of the Opry regulars in the first half of the show, with Smith taking the stage after intermission. She will be joined by many friends and family members, including her own talented children.

Tickets are $12 for adults; $5 for children 12 and under. They can be purchased in advance at Beach Bum BBQ and the Mathews Visitor Center in Mathews and at Marketplace Antiques in Gloucester...
