The Lancaster Virginia Historical Society’s annual Holiday Greenery Centerpiece Sale will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, while inventory lasts, at 8346 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster.
Unique, handcrafted arrangements featuring assorted fresh greens, ribbons, and decorative accents will be available in a variety of sizes, styles and prices, according to LVHS executive director Karen Hart. The Museum Book Store will also be open for shopping during the sale hours with a large selection of local history titles and research publications.
“The Centerpiece Sale,” said Hart, “offers beautiful arrangements made by a group of talented and creative LVHS volunteers, led by our experienced co-chairs Rebecca Jett George, Lex Forrester and Betty Pettyjohn. Their festive designs, ranging from traditional to fun, make home decorating and gift giving so easy! The greens will last the whole holiday season just with simple watering and many of the containers, which buyers can keep, are interesting ceramic, crystal, or silver pieces from estate sales and volunteer donations.” All sales benefit the programs and operations of the LVHS museum and library to make local history and genealogy educational, engaging, and accessible for everyone.
