Outstanding fish catches reported Aug. 11 in vasaltwaterjournal.com that qualified for citations in the Virginia Saltwater Fishing Tournament include the following:

Tyler Wallace of Hayes, received two citations: one for a sheepshead caught July 10 at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, measuring 24 inches and released; and a speckled trout measuring 24.25”, caught July 11 in the Chesapeake Bay and released.

Also receiving citations for their catches were Freddie Dehoux of Mathews, 10-pound, 9-ounce blueline tilefish caught July 23 at Norfolk Canyon; Aaron Inge of Mathews, 12-pound, 10 ounce blueline tilefish caught July 23 at Norfolk Canyon; Phillip Ashberry of Hallieford, sailfish caught and released July 23 at Norfolk Canyon; Ed Lawrence of Gloucester, 24.25” speckled trout caught July 29 in the Piankatank River and released; Chris Renew of Gloucester, 5-pound, 15 ounce speckled trout caught July 10 in York River; and Ronald Sadler of Dutton, 6-pound, 12-ounce, 27” speckled tro...
