Local Scenes, Pumpkin Patch exhibits upcoming at Bay School

Two upcoming exhibits at the Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews are sure to please local residents, both young and old.
Local Scenes, an exhibit celebrating iconic small-town vistas, will be on display in the Art Speaks Gallery from Aug. 29 through Sept. 29. The work of approximately 15 artists will be represented in the show, depicting scenes from Mathews, Gloucester and beyond.
The opening reception for the exhibition will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29 in the gallery.
The Pumpkin Patch Pop-Up Show, showcasing a variety of pumpkin-inspired arts and crafts, will be on display at the Art Speaks Gallery from Sept. 5 through Nov. 3. Items will include paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and more—all created by local or regional artists and artisans.
The Bay School, which includes the Art Speaks Gallery, classrooms, and studio space, is located at 279 Main Street, Mathews.
