Local fiber artist invited to take part in Smithsonian show

Barbara Brecher, local fiber artist and owner of I Felt Fine Design, will take part in her third Craft2Wear Show presented by the Smithsonian Women’s Committee.
The show will be held in a new venue this year, the Smithsonian Arts & Industries Building, Mall Entrance, 900 Jefferson Drive, S.W., Washington, D.C. The show will be held Sept. 26-28. For more information, visit smithsoniancraftshow.org/craft2wear.
Brecher, of Lottsburg, is a co-op artist at the RAL Art Center in Kilmarnock, where she has won numerous awards for her fiber work.
The D.C. show is considered one of the finest wearable art shows in the country. More than 70 artists from around the country will showcase their work. Attendees will find one-of-a-kind American contemporary wearable art including jewelry, leather, and clothing.
