Lindsay named head coach at Regent University

Brett Lindsay, a 2017 graduate of Gloucester High School, has been named head coach for the Regent University, Virginia Beach, baseball team after a nationwide search. He will lead the Regent Royals on the field as a first-year program in spring 2026.

Lindsay previously coached at Christopher Newport University, his alma mater Eastern Mennonite University, and, most recently, the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain.

Before Lindsay stepped into his coaching roles, he was a five-year starter and a three-time Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) all-conference selection at EMU. From there, Lindsay went on to play professionally in Austria, the Czech Republic and in the U.S. for the Garden City Wind in Kansas and the Rosewell Invaders in New Mexico.

Lindsay will be building the Regent baseball program from scratch and the team will begin as a provisional member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The team will strive to become a member of the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference, which competes at the Division III level.

The last few years of my baseball life have been filled with traveling and “finding the next destination,” said Lindsay. “I am excited to be back in Virginia and thankful for this opportunity to call Regent home.”

Lindsay holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation leadership and sports management, as well as a graduate certificate in organizational leadership from EMU.
