Lilies in Bloom show next week in Irvington

The Garden Club of Virginia is featuring a flower show hosted by the Garden Club of the Northern Neck next week in Irvington.
Lilies in Bloom: “Flourish,” will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 17 and 18, at the Chesapeake Academy, 107 Steamboat Road, Irvington.
The show is dedicated to the memory of Helen Turner Murphy, formerly of Westmoreland County. Murphy was a very active member of the Garden Club of the Northern Neck, serving as its president and later going on to serve the Garden Club of Virginia as its president, but lilies were her true passion.
Several events associated with the lily show are open to the public. Patsy Smith will be the featured speaker at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Chesapeake Academy Auditorium. She is a member of the Winchester-Clarke Garden Club; she is the Garden Club of Virginia Horticulture Chairman as well as a North American Lily Society Judge.
