Lewis steps down as Chesapeake’s Director of Human Resources

After a 50-year tenure with Chesapeake Bank where she began her career as a teller in the Lively branch office, Pat Lewis is retiring as Executive Vice President and Director of Human Resources.

She has held positions in retail banking, internal audit, loan administration and finally as Director of Human Resources.

A graduate of the Human Resource Management School, Graduate School of Banking program through the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Lewis holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification through the Human Resources Certification Institute as well as the Society for Human Resources certification of SHRM-SCP.

Other activities include serving as a member and past chair of the Virginia Bankers Association Human Resources Committee and board member of the VBA Benefits Corporation. She was also involved with several local groups organized through Rappahannock Community College and was clerk of her church, Lebanon Baptist.
