Letter: Winebarger for supervisor

The time for the registered citizen to step up and vote has arrived, not only statewide but at the local level. Petsworth District supervisor Mike Winebarger has a challenger this voting cycle. Decisions can be difficult at times, especially when the outcomes may be distant from one another.

Mike Winebarger has shown over his tenure the ability to have a steady conservative hand when voting for projects that are necessary and currently affordable. Taxes have been stable, but at the same time being able to support the government’s needs along with reasonable salary and benefit increases.

Mike Winebarger, with his colleagues, has been successful in providing funding for internet access to the remote areas of the county, provide funding for the renovation of Gloucester High School, voting three times to ensure we kept our constitutional rights to carry and bear arms, also being instrumental in bringing new business into the county by relaxing the zoning ...
