Editor, Gazette-Journal:
What a night. Thank you, Mathews.
The Mathews Museum’s St. Patrick’s Day Dinner was a joyful success, and we couldn’t have done it without this amazing community. From the first bite to the final note of music, the evening was filled with great food, laughter and plenty of Irish cheer.
A huge round of applause to our incredible volunteers—Diana Swenson, Nancy Twigg, Myriah Pirhala, Barbara Bass and Paul Hyer—who rolled up their sleeves and made the magic happen. Their hard work (and delicious cooking) truly made the night shine.
A very special thank-you to Terry Dixon, who for four years has steadfastly manned the bar—keeping glasses full, and spirits high in every sense of the word.
We’re also deeply grateful to our generous sponsors: CA & J Farm; Seth and Janet Clark; Craig and Donna DeRemer; Michael and Maxine Francisco; Willy and MaryAnn Hubbard; Imagineering LLC; Ron and Debbie Lambert; Haskins and Leigh Ramos; Bill and Kathy Stearns; Jack White and Susan Murdoch; Josie Thorpe; Sandy Warhol and Lois Biddison. Your support helps the museum grow and bring engaging programs to our community all year long.
And what’s a celebration without music? “Three Creeks Down,” featuring local talents Tristan Barnes and Hunter and Hayden Owens, kept toes tapping all evening—highlighted by a stunning rendition of “Danny Boy” by soloist Hunter Owens that brought down the house.
Thank you, Mathews, for showing up, pitching in, and making a night to remember. We can’t wait to do it again.
