The following letter I am writing as a private citizen, not as a school board member.
Many of our founding fathers sat in the pews beside people like us on Sunday morning. They wrote the Constitution with upstanding ideals, recognizing “We the People” as diverse, yet thriving in our common ground. This all-important document has been our guide since the founding of the country (may it be long after we are gone). We cannot rewrite it!
Personally, I have difficulty recognizing America as I’ve always known it. So many changes and so fast. The altering of federal agencies; firings of personnel; and this week 700 troops in D.C.—tearing down homeless encampments yet providing no place for these people to go. This is not “caring for our brother”!
