Mr. Rilee (“Get to the point,” Sept. 29 Readers Write), thank you for that much-needed reminder and to the G-J staff for their continued support of our community.

In that spirit, I will make this brief: Vote for Lorraine Forrest. It is not necessary for me to take up space and readers’ time with a lengthy epistle. She has served on the board for the past year and has taken her position very seriously. She and her family have a long history of their love for our community through their work, their volunteering and their service. Our school system is in a very serious state of affairs. Most important are the children attending our schools.

Mathews County, our children need your support. We need Lorraine Forrest to remain on the board. Your vote matters!
