Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I was a part of the two busloads of local citizens who attended the Women’s March on D.C., not because I am a sore loser, but because I wanted to send a loud “no” to Mr. Trump.

With double the expected crowds, our “no” was very loud, indeed! I went to the march so that I could say “yes” to health care for all; “yes” to a woman’s right to her medical decisions; “yes” to immigrants seeking a better life; “yes” to respecting people of all races, sexual orientation, and religions. I held my sign high and chanted with all my heart—This is what democracy looks like!
