I wrote this around 15 years ago when Andy James retired as fire chief and I believe it is relevant now.

I had the privilege to be a member of the Gloucester Volunteer Fire Department for a short time in the 1980s. Andy was definitely a leader and his enthusiasm and positive attitude spilled over to the remaining members of the force.

Teamwork was always apparent.

We take all our volunteers of fire and rescue for granted and are lucky to have such a dedicated group of people in Gloucester County. Thanks, Andy, for all your many contributions and the examples you set.
