Letter: Something needs to change

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I am a wife and a mother of three wonderful children. More than anything, I want to secure for them an America that is governed by the people, according to the Constitution, and with a future where their God-given rights and freedoms are held in the highest regard above any party’s agenda. Our children go to school and learn about the ideals and the promise of democracy set forth by our founding fathers. Yet every day when I turn on the evening news, I see a country preoccupied with bending our Constitution to the will of special interest groups. Something needs to change.

This election I am voting for my children’s future. For the first time, I am not voting for the lesser of two evils, I am voting for an honest man with great moral character and strong family values. I have been inspired by this candidate not only politically but personally as well. I am excited at the thought of a brighter future for my children. It can happen, we can make ...
