Letter: Social distancing, masking, are not new

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Social distancing is not new. Some churches allowed slaves and free blacks to attend church services during and after slavery. I believe balconies were born for separation. Restrooms and water fountains were separated in many areas. I learned that in Colonial Williamsburg when I started employment in 1958. Also, the Naval Weapons Station in 1965, in locker rooms and many buildings.

Mask mandate is not new. Sometime around 1866 a cult was formed, KKK, that required masks to belong, masks on judges, law enforcement, doctors, lawyers, county leaders, masks on offspring, horses, dogs, hogs, ducks and geese.
