The gall of those who back Trump’s attempts to overturn the results of the election is surpassed only by their irresponsibility and fecklessness. Mr. Wittman showed his true colors by signing onto the Attorney General of the State of Texas’s appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court this past week, a craven attempt to disregard the expressed will of the voters.

In so doing, Mr. Wittman demonstrates he does not care about the cornerstone of our democracy—free and fair elections. The elections in the states where there have been challenges have been counted several times over with the same result: President-Elect Biden won the race for President. Every court case brought forward, including those to the Supreme Court, has been thrown out for a lack of evidence or standing. In fact Mr. Biden received 81,284,000 votes, 51.3 percent of the total.
