My family owns most of the property on Route 14 where Strata Solar has proposed to install a solar facility. As farmers and landowners, we are proud to work with Strata to bring this project to Gloucester.

At the community meeting and before the Gloucester Planning Commission, Strata has shown that this facility will not have any significant effect on the values of surrounding properties. The company has gone beyond what is required to do to provide setbacks and screening to minimize the visual impact of the project and maintain the rural feel in this area of Gloucester.

As farmers, we are stewards of the land and this is another way to use the sun to produce a different type of crop for the benefit of the community. This use gives us a good way to keep this large parcel of land intact. And, Strata has agreed to return the land to agricultural use at the end of the project.
