Letter: How soon we forget

Well folks, here we go again. It looks like Tom Turkey has been knocked out of the box again by the Great Pumpkin and Santa Claus. It’s getting so I wonder if people really care about Thanksgiving anymore.

It sure looks that way, but this country wasn’t founded by Charlie Brown in a pumpkin patch or someone ringing a bell, saying “Ho-Ho-Ho.”

It was founded by brave men and women who risked their lives, and then when it was over, they gave thanks to God. One thing I have learned in life is you can never give God enough thanks for everything.

So, on this Thanksgiving Day, take time to thank God for everything, big or small, that he has given us. To all out there, God is still willing to bestow his gifts upon us … if we let him.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
