I wanted to thank you for the article written in the business section of last week’s edition on our participation in the nationwide "B&Bs for Vets" campaign, but need to clarify a few important details. Although we are donating our rooms for the Veterans’ Day promotion, the complimentary dinner for our guest vets and their significant others will be generously donated by Liz Scribe, owner of Sandpiper Reef Restaurant, and not paid for us, as stated in the article.

Liz has also graciously offered to host a wine and cheese reception at Sandpiper Reef in Hallieford on Veterans’ Day, Sunday, Nov. 11, from 5-6 p.m., where local vets are invited to meet and greet the guest vets visiting our area. Any local veterans that are interested in attending should contact Liz at the restaurant number, which is 725-3331 (please RSVP, so that we may plan accordingly).
