Letter: Forewarned is forearmed

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

This is to inform the voting public of Gloucester County, and the entire Tidewater area, of the action taken by the Gloucester Board of Supervisors to refuse me placing the issue of paper ballot counting on their Nov. 1 agenda.

I applied to the BOS office in plenty of time to effect the request, and was assured that since the Gloucester BOS was to be given a presentation by our own Electoral Board, it was certain to be included. But, not surprisingly, it was turned down. Without the permission of the chairman Mr. Orth and only two other members, it is not supported that We The People have the support or right to address our governors.

My own representative has yet to respond to my emails and calls for support. What kind of tyranny will we continue to allow? All I wanted was to warn We The People about was their right to free and fair elections, and to prove it by counting the paper ballots which will be cast in the upcoming federal and local election....
