Even though I moved from Mathews five years ago, I continue to keep a close eye on the school system where I spent eight years as principal and the area that I will always call my home. It is because of my concern for the Mathews community that I feel compelled to write this letter endorsing Linda Hodges for her continued service on the Mathews County School Board.

I have known Linda for over 15 years and worked closely with her during my tenure as principal of Mathews High School. I cannot think of anyone who is more compassionate about education and is committed to the welfare of every student in Mathews. Linda Hodges not only understands the internal operations of a school system from her years as a counselor, she also has the perspective of a parent and a current school board member.
