Letter: Even the pope

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Pope Francis has advice for everyone, including Congress, but it seems that even the leader of the Roman Catholic Church bows to politically correct rules that cause so much harm.

His advice to Congress included climate change, immigrants, equality of income, etc., but considering who he represents, the issue that should have been at the top of the list was not named. He never used the word “abortion”—he tiptoed around it, yet he called for an end to the “death penalty”!

I’m not of the Roman Catholic faith, just a Christian who respects human life God creates, and it is a shame that the pope was afraid to stand firm on the right to life of the unborn child. They aren’t allowed the chance to live, but a convicted murderer is … what a statement this makes.
