As a long-ago icon of Republicans once said, “there she goes again.” Ms. Dale has gone with false news that shameful presidents have been Democrats (“The poison from the left,” Dawn Dale, Jan. 19 Readers Write).

This is the type of disinformation that got Mr. Trump elected. Ms. Dale needs to review her history. She seems to have forgotten Watergate, Iran/Contra, the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan and the greatest recession since the Great Depression. These catastrophes occurred during Republican administrations.

Had more citizens been aware of the Republican shamefulness and of American history, there might be less “hysteria.”
